   I’m thinking we haven’t heard the whole story here… insurance companies do not just pay out on claims without investigating the accidents and hearing both sides and getting a copy of the police report. Unfortunately with parking lots being private property, officers cannot ticket drivers. The best thing to do is always have a witness that you don’t know to be on the police report.

   Progressive Insurance SUCKS!!! I’ve had them about 25 years, and yet when a woman hits me where I am stopped (she was talking on the phone and looking off to the side even – I watched her approach and slam into me), they paid her and upped my rates because it was more profitable. They didn’t even tell me they did it – I got to find out a year after I’d been paying them. Note well the cop on scene said the driver would have been charged if not on a private lot, so she couldn’t charge anyone.
